The Club’s Choice: Retro, Wacky Summer Styles
Story time: I just thrifted the best skirt at the bins and now I’m obsessed with dress and skirts for the summer season. When it’s 102 outside a good skirt that has loads of aeration and sweat proof layers is going to come in handy. Summer time these days are less about practicality and more of bold fashion, or at least that’s what I’m seeing. It’s weird to think about layering in the summer since its H.O.T but with the right accessories anything is possible.
We just got in this cute red vintage floral dress. It’s cutout shape in the back means you get some breathing room. I would pair this with western accessories like this studded rhinestone snakeskin belt and a pair of black cowboy boots. Our fave Joma boots are sold out, but check out how they compliment the fit. Turquoise earrings are a must, just for that pop of contrast color. Add a cowboy hat if your feeling in the mood.
A good sundress is essential for summer. They usually provide a cooling effect! Pair this southern floral sundress with your fav pair of ballerina slippers for a casual outfit. Spice it up with extra jewelry around the neck like a bold necklace and statement earrings. I love the tie straps. It’s a great accessory element.
When I was in college I lived by everything Leon Bridges and was a die hard for he vintage 1940s aesthetic that he pioneered early in his career. This next outfit is a more minimalist approach to some of his iconic outfits. This vintage green sundress pairs perfect with this cream/brown color block cardigan. Its perfect outfit to ease into the summer nights where it’s still pretty cold. I can’t get enough of these leather ballerina flats!
